Teeth Whitening
November Special: $550 for Professional In-Chair Whitening
Everyone wants a natural looking, beautiful white smile and teeth whitening is one of the best ways to give your smile a boost! It’s a popular aesthetic treatment as it’s a non-invasive way of fixing discolouration and staining, and when done properly can totally change the appearance of a smile.
What causes tooth discolouration?
Over time, teeth can become stained and lose their natural whiteness. It occurs when staining particles, such as pigmented residue from food or drink, build-up in the film of protein that covers the tooth enamel. This can be as a result of smoking, drinking coffee or red wine, age, oral care or due to a medical issue. If this sounds like your smile then you’re in luck, as these types of stains respond very well to teeth whitening.
How does it work?
We offer in-chair teeth whitening using the Phillip’s Zoom Teeth Whitening system. Philips Zoom Blue LED light-accelerated technology and gel has been proven to whiten teeth up to 8 shades in just 45 minutes. It uses Amorphous Calcium Phosphate (ACP) to deliver enamel protection, improve luster and reduce sensitivity.
Some patients want to achieve a whiter smile in the comfort of their own home. In these cases we will provide them with custom-made whitening trays with an appropriate concentration of whitening gel that are worn each day for a few hours usually over a two-week period to lighten their teeth. It’s really important that treatment is sought through a registered professional, as some over-the counter treatments can irreversibly damage tooth enamel.
